This is the best version of the “knife-through-jacket” ever invented, and also the easiest. A magician borrows a jacket from an audience member. They hold the knife behind the jacket and make a stabbing motion with it, clearly showing the audience that the knife cannot penetrate the jacket without damaging it. Then, the magician holds a piece of newspaper or paper in front of the jacket and stabs it again with the knife, but this time the knife penetrates the jacket and emerges through the paper. You can pull the knife completely through the paper and the jacket and have it examined if necessary. If you remove the piece of (unprepared) paper, the jacket remains undamaged, to the audience’s delight! The knife can be handed over for inspection before and after the performance. You’ll be amazed at the ease of this method, originally invented by Mikame of Japan. This version works exactly the same, but is made in Europe, as the Mikame version has been discontinued for many years. You’ll receive the paper holder, knife, secret “something,” and instructions.
